Q + A

What is the weather like?

It will be warm and sunny during the day. Sunglasses will be a must. When the sun goes down it will get a bit cold, bring a layer.

Cool a wedding on the beach! I can't wait to play in the sand

No! There is no sand just rocks and razor sharp barnacles. Please bring a pair of flat shoes or sandals to change into to walk on the beach. We are not responsible for broken ankles due to high heels.

What if I arrive early?

We understand the stress of trying to make the ferry so we definitely recommend catching one a bit early. If you do arrive early we are welcoming guests for pre-ceremony cocktails beginning at 2:00. If you are even earlier than that, I like your style. There are tons to do on the island, check out the Things to Do page, duh.

How do I get off the island?

Do not worry about leaving, Don will be composting all guests at the end of the night and using them as fertilizer in his garden. If you do escape, plan to leave at least 40 minutes before your scheduled sailing time to ensure you don't miss the ferry. (the WSDOT app has the schedule so don't ask us)

How does the shuttle work?

We have hired Victoria to drive a 12 passenger van around the island. See the travel page for her contact information and save her number to your phone. There will be planned pickups from the Inn at Pleasant Beach, the Clearwater, and all other Airbnbs guests may be staying at. At the end of night, at whatever time that might be for you, give her a call and she will swing by to pick you up.

Is it rude to leave the wedding without saying goodbye?

If Cynthia has taught us anything, there is no greater joy than an Irish exit. Please do not feel the need to track us all down to say goodbye. You better be at the Hair Of The Dog Brunch the next morning anyway.
